The process of cargo transportation in Germany is quite time-consuming, long and quite expensive. To move bulky items, first you need to find someone who can move it, then people who can load and unload it and you are to pay everyone and spend your time managing this process. But if your physical state, driving skills, and, of course, a car allow doing it on your own, then why not save your time and money? So the idea of a service for automated rental of trailers came up.

How it works

At first, the user registers in the application, the identification is in the car sharing scheme. On the map, you can see the closest trailer parking lot. The user sees himself as a point and the parking lot a group of points. He /she can zoom in and see the nearest parking lot.

There is a "Find a trailer" button on the screen. The user can make a choice using filters in the catalogue with 5 types of trailers and their characteristics: size, load capacity and rental price. After applying the filter, the parking lots, without the necessary type of trailer disappear from the map. Then the user is to rent the closest trailer that suits the user. There is an option of hourly or daily rent.

The lock on the trailer stand is opened with the QR code. After using the trailer, one is to return it to the parking lot. Then the rent is paid online according to the time of use. The card and payment methods are chosen during the registration. The system also provides the the opportunity to write off money in case of fines and damage to trailers.


Developing the application, our developers solved the following tasks:

  • - how to show which parking spaces are available, and which are empty but occupied,
  • - how to open and close the lock of the trailer stand,
  • - how to make the user take exactly the chosen trailer and then return it to the same stand.

The design of the mobile application is made in Figma. The designers made a user-friendly interface. For this purpose they chose a color scheme referred to the common color scheme for taxis: yellow and black. In the application, it turned into the combination of orange and gray tones. The application interface is designed in corporate colors. It is intuitive and not overloaded. All necessary custom icons and illustrations were drawn for the application.
